Fold7 take home awards haul at the EMEA shots
Last Wednesday proved an incredibly successful night for the team at Fold7 as we took home six awards at the EMEA shots for our global campaigns with Carlsberg and Audible, as well as Silver in the Agency of the Year category.
The night saw us winning Gold in the Use of Licensed Music category for our Carlsberg Global, ‘Curious Beginnings’ spot.
Taking us through vignettes involving modern-day clubbers, jazz-era swingers, dancing Roman Legionnaires, flautist shepherds, and even whistling cavepeople, the film is a witty take on the development of key movements, placing Carlsberg at the center of all. Using the iconic, late-'80s breakbeat track, 'The 900 Number' by The 45 King. The original track is featured alongside samples authentic to instruments in each era featured in the ad.
Both of the hero films in our global campaign for Audible were recognised, with 4 gongs overall for the campaign. The films are inspired by the magic in the meeting point between two worlds, as the mundane everyday seeps into what we’re imagining when listening to Audible.Our true crime inspired film, Soaking Detective, received Gold in the Production Design category, as well as Bronze for Styling. Whilst Cosmic Vacuum, the Sci-fi/Fantasy spot took home Gold for Direction, as well as Silver for the VFX category.
Points were allocated for shortlisted and winning work – and the respective companies involved in making that work – to ascertain the winners of the agency of the year award. We’re incredibly proud that, thanks to the success of our campaigns, as well as a few other shortlisted entries, we picked up Silver for Agency of the Year.
