Last was a big year for Fold7. 10 lovely new people, 6 wins (1 huge win soon to be announced) and a trophy cabinet full to the brim. But with the way things are currently shaping up, 2016 looks like it’s going to knock 2015 out of the park. Starting as we mean to go on, our first bit of good news to share sees the hire of Simon Learman as exec creative director, who joins us by way of Adam & Eve/DDB. Simon is given the big task of taking charge of our creative department and will be reporting into Ryan Newey, who now takes the title of founder and chief creative officer.
Carrying a wealth of industry experience, Simon held ecd and creative director roles at McCann and Ogilvy & Mather, and most recently was international creative director at Adam & Eve/DDB; leading the global Unilever business out of London. This bold new addition to the Fold7 team cements our ambition to keep creative excellence at the heart of our business.
“I’m delighted to add a such a talented and experienced pair of hands to the team that can continue to take Fold7 forward,” explains Ryan. Simon adds: “Fold7 is one of the most exciting independents in London. Working with founder Ryan Newey, together with the arrival of Marc Nohr, this presents an amazing opportunity to create something extraordinary.”
Simon’s ambition is to win a Black Pencil, something we hope he’ll achieve during his time at Fold7. You can read more on the hire in Campaign.
