In April we welcomed 44 pitch consultants into the Fold for AdForum’s biannual worldwide summit, including London’s key players and representation from across Europe, the US, Australia and South Africa. The summit provided an opportunity for selected agency leaders from all disciplines to meet with the world’s leading marketing management consultants to share ideas, insights, industry trends and challenges in an exclusive forum. This year the overarching theme was exploring new lands of creativity.
Fold7 CEO, Marc Nohr, kicked off proceedings by explaining the origins behind our name, who we are and our ambitions as a 21st century advertising agency. After Nohr set the scene, our executive creative director, Ryan Newey, took the audience through some of Fold7’s notable work since inception; from our humble beginnings creating the Ted Baker brand, to the more recent Celebrity Big Brother idents we developed for Gumtree and our award-winning Carlsberg beer poster.
Wrapping up the session was Fold7 planning chief, David Howard, who shared some thoughts on the demands of today’s 21st century consumers and the challenges we face as a creative advertising agency for the search engine age. “90% of people ask Google first before they buy something – ignore that at your peril,” he concluded.
All in all a great day was had and we were delighted to have welcomed friends old and new into the Fold to get to know us, and our thinking a bit more. Thanks again AdForum for having us! You can read more on the summit on Campaign.
